Christa was inducted into the University of Arizona Sports Hall of Fame in 1985. In addition to being an active member of The Legends Tour, Christa has taken up gardening. “I now eat fresh organic produce every day,” says Christa. “I’ve learned a lot. Last year we planted watermelons and they are easy to grow, but hard to pick. This year, we are trying cantaloupe.” Christa has also ventured into growing peppers, steering clear of the hotter variety and opting for red and yellow bell peppers. Quips Christa, “We are always looking for that great salad.” Christa and husband/caddie Duane have a seven-year-old Rottweiler they walk routinely. Recently, Christa has a acquired yet another passion. “I just earned my motorcycle endorsement, so watch out for motorcycles when you are on the road!”
