Started playing golf at the age of 15...Credits her father Bill  Schreyer, brother Dave Schreyer, Liz Murphy and golf instructor John  Gerring as the individuals most influencing her career...Served on the  LPGA Tour Player Executive Committee for three years (1999-2001),  serving as president from 1999-2000...Inducted into the University of  Georgia Circle of Honor, the university's hall of fame, in  2003...Competed as Cindy McCurdy from 1998-2000...Enjoys instructing  spinning classes, running, kayaking and lifting weights  As an amateur, Schreyer was the 1980 Georgia State champion and medalist at the 1981  U.S. Girls Junior Championship. She won the Atlanta Amateur Championship  seven times (1978-84). At the University of Georgia, Schreyer was the  1984 NCAA individual champion. She won the 1985 Southeastern Conference  Championship and the 1986 U.S. Women's Amateur Public Links  Championship. In 1986, she was a member of the U.S. Curtis Cup Team.
