Played collegiate golf at Oklahoma State University 1979-1984, joined the Futures Mini Tour for 1 year,went on to play on LPGA Tour 1986-1998. Family was a big part of her team on the tour as her father or husband caddied on a regular basis and her mom babysat her daughter, Jessica, as they traveled on the road. After retirement from the LPGA in 1998, her focus turned to teaching golf on a full time basis. In 2001, a new job opportunity was offered at the First Tee of Tulsa. Janice has served as the Executive Director of the First Tee of Tulsa since the inception of the program in 2001. Alongside an amazing First Tee staff, the program has grown from 341 participants attending annually in 2001 to more than 19,000 youth attending annually in 2019 for a total of more than 90,000 students.
