Sue Ertl

Sue won the 2003 and 2004 WSGT National Qualifying Tournaments and was runner up in 2005. Once played with fellow Michigan native and former President Gerald R. Ford in Palm Springs, CA after a Dinah Shore event. Sue started playing golf at the age of seven and by the age of 14 was a club champion. While at Michigan State University, she won medalist honors in the 1977 and 1978 Big Ten Championships. She was named an All-American in 1979 and that same year was named the first ever Michigan State University Sportswoman of the Year. In 1988, Ertl was inducted into the Women’s Collegiate Golf Hall of Fame.
