The Legends of the LPGA are big fans of beloved American actress Betty White, and her recent passing at age 99 has inspired some of the greatest names in the history of the game to celebrate White’s lifelong dedication to supporting animal rescue facilities and humane societies across the nation.
LPGA and World Golf Hall of Famers Beth Daniel, Meg Mallon and Jan Stephenson, along with LPGA Tour standouts and fan favorites such as Rosie Jones, Michelle McGann, Brandie Burton, Val Skinner and many more will share fun selfies and adorable pics with their four-legged besties throughout the week of January 17 and encourage donations to White’s causes.
White was poised to cross the 100-year-old mark on January 17 but passed away peacefully on December 31, 2021, just 17 days shy of her much-anticipated milestone birthday.

Former LPGA Tour and European Tour player Marjorie Jones, who was named PGA Metropolitan Section Player of the Year in 2011 and has competed on Legends of the LPGA since 2002, serves on the Board of Directors for CANWI (Companion Animal Nutrition and Wellness Institute), a not-for-profit company offering research, training and education around animal nutrition and wellness in New York.
Peruvian Jenny Lidback, a major championship winner on the LPGA Tour, adopted her rescue, Lola, from the Arizona Animal Welfare League & SPCA in Phoenix.
