(BOSTON - Aug. 5, 2021) – The Legends Tour, the official senior tour of the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA), introduces a new name and logo under the banner of The Legends of the LPGA and furthers their strategic alliance with the LPGA. The Legends of the LPGA will remain the official senior tour of the LPGA, and with the renewed partnership as an official LPGA-branded property, it will have an opportunity to collaborate more with the LPGA in the future.
For more than 70 years, the LPGA has been the global leader in growing the game and creating playing opportunities for girls and women at all levels of the game.
“We are thrilled to officially include the LPGA in our name since it is who we are, plus the LPGA is among the most recognizable global brands in golf,” said two-time major champion and The Legends of the LPGA CEO Jane Geddes. “Our members represent the best in women’s golf, the history of the LPGA, and some of the greatest golf moments of the past four decades. We continue to create opportunities for fans to connect with the players through a variety of events on and off the course, and with the power of the LPGA name and brand fully behind us, we will continue to soar to new heights, entertain fans, and help grow the game.”
The Legends of the LPGA enriches the legacy of women’s golf by preserving its history and inspiring the future to achieve impossible possibilities.
