Women's amateur scramble winners will play with an LPGA Legend

Winners of the Kaiser Permanente Women's Amateur Scramble will play in a pro-am with LPGA Legends like Liselotte Neumann (L) and Hollis Stacy (R).

The 3rd annual Suquamish Clearwater Legends Cup presented by Boeing is set for May 28-30 at White Horse Golf Cub in Kingston, Wash. Once again, local amateur women will have the opportunity to win spots in the official pro-am by teeing it up during tournament week in the Kaiser Permanente Women's Amateur Scramble on Wednesday, May 27.

"The team scramble is a great opportunity for women amateurs to play the tournament course before the weekend and see first hand the challenges presented by this magnificent golf course," said LPGA Legends Hall of Famer Jane Blalock. "It is truly spectacular, and we all look forward to playing White Horse again."

32 Legends will compete in the tournament rounds, including Blalock, past champion Trish Johnson and 4-time LPGA Tour champion Wendy Ward, who resides in the Spokane area. Last year's tournament was won by LPGA and World Golf Hall of Fame member Juli Inkster, a 31-time LPGA Tour Champion with five wins on The Legends Tour. She fired rounds of 65 and 66 on her way to a 15-under-par finish.

Capped at 50 two-person teams, the Kaiser Permanente Women's Amateur Scramble is open to women amateur golfers age 16 and older with a maximum USGA handicap index of 40.4. Women may enter as a team of two female amateur players ($250 team entry) or as a single female amateur player ($125 entry); singles will be paired by the tournament committee. The shotgun is at 9:00 a.m.

The 1st Place Low Gross team and 1st Place Low Net team will be awarded playing spots in the Suquamish Clearwater Legends Cup Pro-Am on Thursday, May 28. These two teams will join forces to create a foursome that will be paired with a Legends Tour professional in the pro-am. As pro-am participants, the women amateurs will also receive gift bags, meals and beverages and tickets to Legends Fest, a post-golf awards reception hosted by Clearwater Casino Resort.

The deadline to enter is May 1, 2020.
